Sunfor starts ambitious plan of introducing 1.5m LED lamps

Sichuan -- Sichuan Sunfor Light Co., Ltd reached an agreement with the Chengdu Hongqi Chain Store in the capital of Sichuan Province on Friday morning to introduce 200,000 energy-saving LED lamps to nearly 1,000 stores under the administration of the famous chain store in Sichuan.

After 18-watt LED lamps replace the original 30-watt fluorescent lamps in the stores, the Chengdu Hongqi Chain Store will save 66 million kwh of electricity within five years, save about 60 million yuan (US$8.9 million) in its operating costs, reduce CO2 emissions by 64,000 tons," said Cao Shiru, chairwoman of the Chengdu Hongqi Chain Store.

According to Zhang Li, executive vice president of Sichuan Sunfor Light Co., Ltd, the signing of Friday's agreement marked the beginning of his company's ambition of introducing 1.5 million LED lamps at the end of 2012.

Located in the Chengdu High-tech Zone, Sichuan Sunfor Light Co., Ltd is developing into a leader in the LED lighting industry.

The Led lamps lighting the roads at night and lighting the tunnels as well as the luminescence board system of the recently opened Chengdu Metro Line No. 1 are from the company, according to Zhang.
