Fair offers opportunities for Hong Kong enterprises

The upcoming China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair will help Hong Kong enterprises to better tap the mainland market, organizers said.

"Enterprises in Hong Kong are welcome to the fair, which will help them to find more business opportunities on the mainland, said Yang Yang, a representative of the fair's organizing committee.

The 7th session of the fair will be held in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, on Sept 15-18, at the Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center.

"Participation of Hong Kong companies will also help enhance cooperation between Hong Kong and the mainland," Yang said.

Yang spoke at a recent promotion event for the fair in Hong Kong. Some 120 business and government representatives attended the event.

According to Yang, the fair will include 5,000 exhibition booths for domestic and overseas companies to showcase their latest products.

Organizers have invited Australia to be the co-host country for this year's fair, Yang said.

A 10,000-sqm exhibition hall will be built for the co-host country to display products from of the food, wine, finance, education, clean energy and sports industries, Yang said.
