Around 173 participants from 34 countries and regions have registered to take part in Tianjin 2010 Summer Davos Forum, including dozens of Fortune 500 companies, international financial institutions and major media, latest information from the Tianjin Summer Davos office demonstrated in May.
With approximately 200 participants having registered by early May, this Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Tianjin, or the Tianjin Summer Davos, wins the largest number of registered participants during this period, compared with the past three Annual Meetings.
According to World Economic Forum feedback, the number of registered participants usually peaks during July and August. In addition to registered participants, several celebrated multinational enterprises have expressed intention to show up in the Annual Meeting.
Among the registered participants, 121 representatives are from international industrial and business arena, consisting of 47 business leaders of World Economic Forum Foundation Membership and 74 business leaders of growth-type enterprises.
The registered Fortune 500 companies include Duke Energy, Alcatel-Lucent, British Telecom, Anglo American, Rio Tinto Group and Airbus. International renowned companies Publicis Group, Louis Vuitton, Sotetsu Rosen Co, Ltd, HTC, VIA, as well as international financial institutions British hedge-fund Group Algebris Investments, Adveq Management AG, Swiss private bank Pictet & Cie have also registered.
Registered major media includes Time Magazine, CNBC (Consumer News and Business Channel), AP China, WirtschaftsWoche. A number of experts and scholars from University of Alberta, Canada, Hitotsubashi University, Japan and Peking University have signed in.
Up to early May, 2010, 61 Chinese representatives has registered, 13 of which are from Tianjin. The 13 Tianjin enterprises are Tianjin Zhonghuan Electronics and Information Group Co Ltd, Tianjin TEDA Group Co. Ltd., Tianjin Tasly Group Co. Ltd, Tianjin Bohai Chemical Industries IMP. & EXP. Corp, China Bohai Bank, Tianjin Pipe (Group) Corp, Tianjin Zhongxin Pharmaceutical Group Corporation Ltd., Rockcheck Steel Group Co. Ltd., Tianjin Infrastructure Investment Group, Tianjin YiQing (holding share) Co. Ltd, Hi-Tech Holding Group Co. Ltd, Tianjin Datian W. Group Co. Ltd, and Markor International Furniture Co.
The encouraging registration information demonstrates that the Tianjin 2010 Summer Davos Forum is winning extensive attention worldwide. Tianjin is standing out as a full-fledged growing city on Chinese economic landscape and sustainable development roadmap.
