SHANGHAI - Dragonair announced May 11 the launch of new Chinese dishes for passengers on flight from Shanghai to Hong Kong by joining hands with Madam Zhu's restaurant in Shanghai.
The dishes created by the restaurant will add the exquisite flavour of delicate Chinese cuisine to the inflight menu, said Sam Swire, general manager of Dragonair China.
Since 2003, Dragonair has worked with renowned Shanghai restaurants to create food promotions which offer passengers a special inflight meal experience, Swire said.
The new menu features a number of popular dishes from Madam Zhu with a well-chosen selection of classic Chinese favourites which combine fresh ingredients with home-made seasonings. The nutritious delicious dishes bring the authentic taste of home-made Chinese cuisine to passengers, he said.
Zhang Yong, chef de cuisine, said he is excited to bring Madam Zhu's Chinese culinary concept to passengers.
"This year's Expo has drawn worldwide attention to Shanghai, also creating a milestone year for Dragonair as the airline celebrates its silver jubilee. Over the past 25 years, customer satisfaction has been our driving force," said Swire.
"This new inflight menu will help create an even more memorable inflight experience for passengers," he said.
Dragonair will co-operate with the Continental Room of Garden Hotel Shanghai and Fu Lin Xuan Restaurant to let more passengers on flights from Shanghai to Hong Kong enjoy a delicate inflight menu.
