Xi'an - Attending a major trade fair in West China's Xi'an, Anhui delegates from East China signed 32 contracts on Friday with investors with a total value of 12.36 billion yuan ($1.96 billion).
The contracts cover a wide range of areas, including seven trade and sales projects, 10 high-tech items and 15 projects related to electric appliances, air services, commerce, culture, investment fund and agricultural product processing.
Shaanxi Governor Yuan Chunqing and Anhui Vice-Governor Hua Jianhui attended the Shaanxi-Anhui cooperative signing ceremony at the 14th Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China, which ran between April 7 and April 9 in the provincial capital Xi'an of Shaanxi Province.
More than 120,000 domestic participants and 5,500 overseas delegates attended the annual trade fair, which made its debut in 1997.
Headed by Anhui Governor Wang Sanyun, Anhui sent a largest-ever delegation to the forum, with 1,000 participants from 200 entities, covering government agencies, development zones, enterprises, higher learning institutions, research institutes located in the province's 17 cities.
