The annual China Xiamen Machinery and Electronics Exhibition (CXMEE) opened at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center on April 8.
Over the past 13 years, CXMEE has evolved into the largest and most influential annual economic and trade exchange event across the Taiwan Straits. At present, it is also one of the largest fairs staged in the Chinese mainland for the machinery and electronics industries.
"CXMEE is an elite Exhibition of choice products and also an unparalleled platform for cross-strait cooperation," Liu Cigui, Mayor of Xiamen Municipality, said at the Press Conference, "the 14th CXMEE will overshadow its previous sessions in terms of professionalism, pertinence and practicality thanks to the meticulous preparations and concerted efforts of all parties concerned."
"This year, the exhition booth number will surpass 2500, expanding 30%, a record high in CXMEE's history", said Huang Heming, Secretary-General of the CXMEE Organizing Committee. The 14th CXMEE will exhibit the following characteristics:
Firstly, more enterprises from across the Taiwan Straits will be involved and a record number of booths will be provided. It has drawn the attention of the machinery and electronics industries on both sides of the Straits, and will provide an exhibition space of 60,000 square meters and 2,500 international-standard booths, 30% more than last year's.
Secondly, a greater range of products will be exhibited and CXMEE's role as a platform will be consolidated.
Thirdly, a number of practical high-end forums and seminars will be held during CXMEE to explore fresh opportunities for development.
Fourthly, various project matchmaking symposia will be staged to add to its practical results.
Fifthly, a wide range of colorful supporting events will also be held.
At the time of global economy recovery and in the positive situation of peaceful development across the Straits, the 14th CXMEE sees a record-high scale, upgraded level of specialization and practical high-end forum, which will further promote economic and trade exchange across the Straits.
