China Eastern Airlines-Wuhan will launch a brand new "Summer-Fall" Flight Plan. The flights from Wuhan to Shanghai have been increased to 10 flights each day, 4 to Beijing and 3 to Shenzhen.

Moreover, the head of Eastern Airways has announced that the company is to add a new destination - Urumqi to its existing flights in this "Summer-Fall" Flight plan. There are two flights leaving from Wuhan to Urumqi in the afternoon of Tuesday and Saturday. They depart at 13:30 and arrive in Urumqi in 19:00.

The director of China Eastern Airlines-Wuhan Company says there has seen a surge in demand for its flights to and from Wuhan and Shanghai. This is an important route in the planned base network of Wuhan airlines, also a trunk line to directly serve the Shanghai World Expo 2010.

Therefore, China Eastern is adding an additional flight a day between Wuhan and Shanghai from March, bringing to 20 the number of weekly flights. The newly added flight will arrive in Hongqiao Airport, which enjoys more convenient transportation, only 40 km away from downtown like the bund and Huaihai Road.

"We have seen good demand over the World Expo 2010. The planning and construction of this line has its important significance," said Liu Gang, manager of Wuhan Company of China Eastern Airlines.

The innovated "Network Operational Modes" attributes to the growth of interest of the company. Surprisingly, within the domestic airliners taking part in the event, few airlines are adding flights to Hongqiao Airport on their schedules, apart from China Eastern Airlines.

China Eastern Airlines is one of the major three domestic airliners in China. The Company is primarily focused in the provision of domestic, regional and international passenger airline services.
