The Clipper 09--10 Race is a ten-month event during which the fleet of ten identical racing yachts will cross all the world's major oceans and visit ports on six continents during the 35,000-mile race around the planet.
This is where we will be publishing updated race schedules, including estimated arrival and departure times for the fleet in each port.
The speed of the boats is at the mercy of the wind and tides and racing yachts, unlike cruise liners, have destinations rather than arrival times. Our experience of running six global yacht races in the Clipper series, as well as those in the VELUX 5 OCEANS single-handed event, allows us to provide you with our best estimate of when the fleet is likely to arrive in each port. We cannot, however, guarantee these arrival dates will be achieved.
These dates are provided to help you with your travel planning but we always advise you to book flexible fares.
