Chairman of Tibet plans to resign

The chairman of the Tibet autonomous region has applied for resignation, Tibet Daily reported.
Qiangba Puncog made this application at the third session of the ninth People's Congress of Tibet autonomous region. He was elected chairman of the region in October 2006.
