'Golden Camellia' festival held in SW China city

The first session of the "Golden Camellia" festival was held in an attempt to popularize local products produced in Fangchenggang, a city in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, to the rest of the world.

"We are hosting the 'Golden Camellia' festival in order to popularize our local product abroad," according to the Fangchenggang People's Government.

Fangchenggang,a city on the border between China and Vietnam, is located near Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Currently Fangchenggang produces 28 species of Camellia, accounting for 70 percent of the world's total.

The event, with the theme "Standardization and Internationalization" offers a platform for participants to build trade partnerships.
