Zhangzhou to blossom during flower expo

The 11th Cross-Strait Flower Exposition and the 1st Cross-Strait Agriculture Exhibition will be held in Zhangzhou, Fujian province from Nov 18 to 22.

The five-day activity will include exhibitions and sales of flowers, seeds, plant food, fertilizers, pesticide, agricultural machinery and more. The exhibition area will reach 30,000 sq m indoors and 150,000 sq m outdoors. Advanced agricultural technologies will also be recommended at the event.

Up to 120 enterprises from Taiwan will be on hand, displaying more than 1,000 Taiwan plant foods. More than 1,000 purchasing delegations from countries like the Netherlands, Australia and Malaysia will also attend for business opportunities.

Meanwhile, agricultural industry associations from Taiwan will set up offices in Zhangzhou so investors from the island can conveniently to do business in Fujian.

During the first three quarters of this year, Zhangzhou approved 16 agricultural projects from Taiwan with a total investment of $41.81 million, a 4.4 percent increase year-on-year.
