Tianjin retains women's volleyball gold at National Games

Tianjin successfully defended its women's volleyball title at China's 11th National Games here on Monday, beating Liaoning 25-12, 25-19, 22-25, 26-24 in the final.

Before the final, Tianjin won all five group matches.

Tianjin coach Wang Baoquan said that his team performed well in both attack and defense.

Liaoning, which boasts several national team players, had to take the silver, while the People's Liberation Army, the silverists of the 10th National Games, finished third.
