Fujian universities assign students to Taiwan

Updated: 2009-07-30 17:14 Fourteen universities in Fujian including Fuzhou University, Fujian Normal University and Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University will assign students to Taiwan universities to study for one year this autumn, the Fujian Education Department announced July28. The educational exchange and cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan has become a new highlight of Fujian education development in recent years. This is the first time Fujian Universities will send students to study in Taiwan. Universities such as Minjiang University will take the lead in training Fujian talents at Taiwan universities, such as Vanung University. Students will be assigned for one-year learning terms to study four majors. Taiwan-owned enterprises will also cooperate with universities to develop talents in 28 majors needed by industries. Eleven academies including Fujian Information and Profession Academy, 15 Taiwan universities and 50 Taiwan-owned enterprises located in the mainland will cooperate to run schools and seek common development. |
