Fantawild Animation Inc, a Shenzhen-based animation producer, sent performers 1,650 km to Southwest China's Chongqing to visit a 4-year-old boy suffering with a brain tumor. Playing the child's favorite roles from the cartoon Boonie Bears, they put on a special show at Xinqiao Hospital on Thursday. The boy was diagnosed with primary brainstem glioma in April this year and his parents gave up hope of successful treatment. Surgery carries risks as there is a possibility of a recurrence which may leave the boy paralyzed or unable to speak. The couple from Guizhou province traveled to Chongqing last month to place their son on a local organ donation waiting list, wishing that his organs can help others after his death. [Photo/CFP]
