A child with congenital heart disease, left, plays with Ren Yan's daughter, in Shanghai on Feb 17, 2012. In March 2011, Ren and five other compassionate people in Shanghai set up the "Lubinghua Hut". This rented villa is for children with congenital diseases from China's less-developed central and western areas. Most of the children have been abandoned by their parents but are now receiving better treatment in Shanghai. Among the 15 children who used to or now live here, five have recovered and three have been adopted. China Charities Foundation Aid for Children has announced its support for the project.
