The protective fences of an illegal golf practicing course in Beijing are torn down on Oct 26, 2011. The course was built in 2009 on a piece of greenbelt without authorized building permits from the government and the developer was ordered to demolish it. In 2004, the State Council issued a notice to suspend construction of new golf courses, but since then, more than 400 golf courses have been constructed across the country, media reported.
