First Taiwanese graduate lands job in Fujian

Chen Bo-rui, a Taiwanese dermatologist shows the contract he signed with Fuzhou Hospital & Institute of Dermatovenereology in Fuzhou, east China's Fujian province, Aug 12, 2010. Chen, after finishing his eight-year undergraduate and graduate studies in Peking University in July, becomes the first Taiwanese recruited by Fujian's government-sponsored institutions through a public job-application process. As the first province to launch the pilot plan of employing Taiwan students graduating from the mainland colleges, Fujian stepped up recruitment. Taiwan students graduating from mainland colleges are qualified to apply for jobs in the province's state-owned enterprises, with those finishing graduate studies allowed to work in government-sponsored institutions. They also enjoy the same treatment as mainland graduates in terms of salary, allowance, insurance and child education. [Photo/Xinhua]
