Born in Brazil in 1989, Tenorio has half Asian (Chinese and Japanese) and half Brazilian origins. Known for her striking beauty, charming eyes and unique walk, Tenorio became popular almost overnight at the age of just 15.

She has appeared in advertising campaigns for Valentino haute couture, Anna Sui, D&G, Kenzo and Akris, as well as on the cover of Brazilian magazine L'Officiel.

Tenorio made her debut on the Paris and Milan runways during the 2007 spring season and has since appeared in catwalk shows for Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, Chanel and many others.

These days the 19-year-old spends most of her time in New York, far from her hometown of Maceio in Brazil, when she is not flying all over the world for fashion shows and photo shoots.

"I am tired, but happy," says Tenorio, who, aside from being amazingly beautiful, is also a warm and friendly girl. "I miss my family in Brazil very much. Fortunately my mum stays with me in New York."

Besides her native language, Portuguese, the intelligent young woman also speaks Spanish, Greek and English.

Three years ago, Tenorio spent a month working in Hong Kong, which she says was a wonderful experience.

The visit to Shanghai was her first time to the Chinese mainland.

"I love China, and Shanghai is such a modern city," she says. "I hope I can visit more places next time I come here."

Brazilian supermodel Bruna Tenorio captivates Shanghai fans.
