Bird flu hits village in Hunan Province

Chinese health officials inspect a disinfected area at Shijiping village in Taojiang County, Central China's Hunan province, May 20, 2007. Bird flu has killed 11,172 poultry in Shijiping, Xinhua said Saturday. A further 52,800 birds were also slaughtered to prevent any spread of the disease.
