Zhang Na, 28, looks after flies she breeds in Yongji county, in China's Jilin province, Wednesday, June 28, 2006. Zhang, nicknamed the "fly commander" by local villagers, started a business in 2005 by breeding flies to produce maggots, which could then be fed to chickens. After a year she has raised about two million flies, which can produce 50 kilograms of fly maggots every day. These are fed to her 5,000 chickens, which can lay 3,500 eggs per day. Zhang and her younger brother are able to earn 300,000 yuan (US$37,500) per year with the business. [AP]
