Argentina forecasts 'unforgettable Games' in Paralympics

BUENOS AIRES -- President of the Argentine Paralympic Committee (Copar) Domingo Latela said on Friday that the Argentine delegation is ready "to participate on an unforgettable Paralympics Games of Beijing."

Latela, who heads the delegation of 42 athletes, said that "we are near the beginning of the Games and the sports tension is increasing."

"We are ready to participate at unforgettable Paralympic Games," Latela said as quoted by the website of the Aragonite Federation of Sports for Blind People (Fadec).

"We found an incredible Olympic Village (and) the sportsmen are with illusion that is encouraging and contagious," Latela said.

"We hope to make a great Paralympic Games with the wish that all Argentine people support us, follow us, and that all know that the athletes will give the best of them to reach important sports achievements. We are very united group and it will reflect at each competition," Latela said.

In his side, technical coordinator of the Fadec Martin Demonte said that "the organization is perfect, there are no mistakes not even at the smallest details, and that makes me think that it will be the most important Games of the history."
