Sara Hsu
Sara Hsu is an Associate Professor of Economics at the State University of New York at New Paltz and a Senior Fellow at the Center for Inclusive Finance at the Central University of Finance and Economics in Beijing. Professor Hsu has written many books and articles about the Chinese economy. She believes that if reforms in the services sector can be fully realized, China has the potential to experience another big boom in economic growth. Her research on the financial services sector has shown that financial sector reform can increase China's GDP by 132%.
Sara Hsu comes to China yearly in order to carry out research and meet family members. She often visits Beijing, Shanghai, and Nanning, either alone or with her daughter. Dr. Hsu especially enjoys xiao lang bao (小笼包) and pu'er tea (普洱茶).
