投资公平待遇(tóuzī gōngpíng dàiyù): Fair investment treatment
During Premier Li Keqiang's meeting with US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross in Beijing on Monday, he urged the United States to provide fair treatment for Chinese enterprises in trade and investment fields and loosen restrictions on high-tech products being sold to China.
Sino-US trade is of great significance to the two countries. China is the world's largest developing country, and the US is the world's largest developed country. China and the US are the largest trading partners of each other.
Li said economic and trade relations between the two countries have always served as the ballast for their relations, and "shared interests far outweigh differences in economic and trade relations between China and the US".
Li said China is willing to expand the trade volume in services and commodities with the US, and is ready to properly handle disputes and conflicts between the two countries through dialogue based on mutual trust and cooperation.
At the same time, Li said, "China hopes the United States gives fair treatment to Chinese in vestment and relaxes restrictions on exports of high-tech products to China so that bilateral economic and trade relations grow in dynamic equilibrium."
