Are Chinese donations to US college unpatriotic?

More Chinese parents are giving to the world's top universities in the hope of boosting their children's odds of acceptance when they apply a few years later. But they are much less enthusiastic about writing big checks once their children get in."

So Chinese are doing what other wealthy people are doing for their children... buying their way into universities for their kids instead of having their kids "earning" it the old fashion way of studying hard.
