Why are Chinese students heading to the US?

There are good qualities in both systems. I find it curious that the people of China seem to revel in anything American. If it is American it must be good!!! I fear this is not the case. American education has many problems. It is in some ways shallow and undisciplined. It often amazes me how Americans are so naive and can often lack very basic knowledge. Like China, they do not seem to have a broad and balanced curriculum. American studies seem more emotional and prone to exaggeration, whilst Chinese education is limited to rote learning of facts to pass the Gaokao.
