Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the Central Military Commission Joint Battle Command Center in his capacity as the commander-in-chief on Wednesday.
During the visit Xi called on the center to implement military strategies and focus on its key functions in order to build well a joint battle command system with Chinese characteristics.
Xi said the strategic and operational command system should be efficient and active in both peacetime and wartime. And he asked officers to tackle difficulties and innovate to build a joint battle command system that is "absolutely loyal, resourceful in fighting, efficient in commanding, courageous and capable of winning wars".
A set of joint battle regulations should be established in line with the military reform, Xi added.
In February, China's military was reorganized into five theater commands: the Eastern Theater Command, Southern Theater Command, Western Theater Command, Northern Theater Command and Central Theater Command.
The Joint Battle Command Center is under the direct supervision of the Central Military Commission, which is headed by Xi and oversees the 2.3-million-member People's Liberation Army, the world's largest standing armed forces.
I’ve lived in China for quite a considerable time including my graduate school years, travelled and worked in a few cities and still choose my destination taking into consideration the density of smog or PM2.5 particulate matter in the region.
