Let the market have a big say on housing prices

Just let the market decide the price equilibrium. By subsidizing the market, it will only keep prices at an unsustainable level longer. The concern of falling housing prices is the health of the housing market and it in turn hurts economic growth. The same resources should be allocated to more meaningful areas such as renewable energy or simply pulling the fund to invest in technology and knowledge.
