Should eating dogs be banned in China?

We in India treat cows as gods and equivalent to a mother, whose milk is used for nourishment. But they are brutally killed and eaten by the Western world as a delicacy. Dogs are treated like slaves to satisfy the emotional needs of humans. Indians are equally hurt when we see cows being killed. Why this hypocrisy? One man's meat is another man's poison. At least China is banning dog meat, whereas the West continues to slaughter animals and breed them in the worst environment. Killing all animals is not good so please stop killing animals.
