Movies are supposed to give viewers a glimpse of the life that their peers lead somewhere close by or far away. In other words: movies need to be realistic, not subjected to cosmetic embellishments and sanitizations. To remove a smoking scene in a movie is to tell lies to the viewers. Just because you can't see smokers in a movie does not mean there are no smokers in reality. To encourage people to stop smoking, you need to lead them through good examples and a healthy lifestyle.
