Speaking the truth is priority of two sessions

The need to speak the truth is a consensus of the delegates attending the two sessions of the National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. But we should reflect on the reason why the practice is so difficult in the two important conferences, says an editorial in China Business News. Excerpts:

It is also a truth that many people speak nonsense in conferences. That's why the efficiency of such conferences is very low.

Since China has so many problems to solve in its reform and development, all delegates attending important conferences like the two sessions should value their opportunities and their speaking time. More importantly, they should fulfill their responsibilities seriously because each of them, in the National People's Conference, represents about 670,000 people on average.

The efficiency of the important conferences will have an effect on China's future development.

After China entered the digital age, fierce debate on the Internet contrasted sharply with the less-productive, though costly, conferences. Each delegate should cherish the valuable opportunities of face-to-face discussions, especially the chance to communicate with the State's decision-makers.

The new leadership of the Communist Party of China is dedicated to improving officials' working efficiency and public image.

Hopefully, the valuable consensus of this year's two sessions can be maintained in the future and promote positive changes.
