Students suffer in small cities

(China Daily) Updated: 2012-07-11 08:00

Comment on "Retired official 'conned students'" (China Daily, July 4)

Many of China's well-known English language schools have branches in small cities. The schools charge huge amounts of money for the branches to use the names of the schools. These branches hire foreigners who speak English but have no teaching qualifications, and who are here on tourist visas, to run their schools. It is the students who suffer.
