A 25-year-old office worker in Nanjing provoked much online discussion after she quit her job to go traveling. Do you think this is a good way to release pressure? What do you do to relieve stress at work? China Daily cellphone readers shared their views:
What the worker in Nanjing did is bold and free. It is better to seek what one really wants and have a real taste of life rather than live without any clear purpose or direction. But it needs to be based on abundant material support.

The decision made by the 25-year-old white-collar worker is quite arbitrary. We should be realistic and think about where our life will go if we quit our jobs. What would society be like if everyone followed her example? In my opinion, we need to adjust our mentality when faced with a stressful life and take some time every week for relaxation and never let the pressure defeat us.

I am very supportive of people living a life like the girl in Nanjing when they are still young. We need a couple of gap years for traveling to broaden our horizons after working hard in cities for several years. In fact, travel is more than just fun as we can learn the skills needed for modern jobs, such as awareness of diversity, the ability to meet new challenges and the capacity to explore.

Every job has its pressures that need to be coped with. As far as I am concerned, to resign is only running away from reality. I would never mix my life and work together. I do what I like in my spare time while confronting squarely the pressure at work. There is no life without pressure.

I admire her courage and open-mindedness very much, but for people who have to support their families, it is never that easy to quit their job. It would be a good way to relieve stress by taking leave from work to travel. However, it is not a very practical choice for wage earners as travel is both time and money consuming. Therefore, I relax by taking a walk, watching movies or chatting with friends and family.

I approve of the girl's decision for one should do something they like to their hearts' content in life. Instead of wasting time on boring work, it is better for people to pack up and travel listening to their hearts. Perhaps a trip can help people find their long-lost selves. Another important thing to remember is safety during the journey.

I regard her act as an escape from reality. One can still enjoy a tiring job if one genuinely likes it. That she decided to resign due to work pressure indicates that the job was not her ideal one. Worse, many people find it even harder to accept the pressure of real life after traveling. Once that happens, can one travel again for another adjustment?
XIAOSHAN, Beijing
I think she is a brave girl. Travel is loved by everyone, but we always have too much to worry about and give it up in the end. However, she should consider her family if she needs financial support from her parents.
