I wish the problem of hunger in China, especially the hunger of children, got more attention. Despite the progress that China has made, it still has many hungry people because of its huge population.

The 2010 Global Hunger Index shows that 6 percent of China's children are below normal weight. Another developing country, Brazil, does a lot better job of feeding its children. Just 2 percent of its children are underweight.

The hunger of children should attract the authority's attention, because children are the future of China.

Without enough food, children cannot grow well physically and mentally. The government should initiate programs designed to feed children better, for the entire society will benefit from children's healthy growth.
