Make food boxes totally safe

Though it would take a long time to verify if the food containers harm people's health, making them absolutely safe will influence the course of the nation, says an article in Chinese Business Morning View. Excerpts:
In a year, Chinese people use about 15 billion disposable fastfood boxes, half of which are made of inferior quality products. Some experts even say the harm caused by food boxes is equal to those caused by drugs.
The Roman Empire fell, according to many historians, because of large-scale lead poisoning in the city of Rome. Most of the water supply pipes in Rome were made of lead. So the water they supplied to the citizens of Rome was contaminated with the poisonous metal. After drinking the lead-contaminated water for dozens of years, people in Rome became less intelligent.
Health of the people plays a decisive role in the rise and fall of a country. Food security doesn't only mean having sufficient food to feed the people, but also to food quality. We have learned many a painful lesson at the costs of lives. We have passed a series of laws and rules. But the problem of food security still haunts us.
