Brendan joined ChinaDaily.com in October 2007.  In addition to writing Op'Ed pieces with a China focus that feature on our homepage he writes a regular column for Chinese English Language learners at Language Tips where he also reads audio news for listening practice.  Elsewhere he works on short videos within the multi-media department.

He holds a B.A. (Social Sciences), Post Graduate Diploma (Social Welfare) a Masters Degree (Community Development and Management) and is certified to Teach English as a Foreign Language and to counsel as an Education Agent for the Australian industry.

He has taught in Japan, England, Australia and most recently China at Xian's International Studies University and Hainan's Yuda Foreign Language Academy.

His writing and photography has featured in the Bangkok Post, The Taipei Times, The Asia News Network and in-flight magazines.
