Chinese opera performances are being staged at the Mei Lanfang Grand Theater during the Games. The theater honors leading Peking Opera performer Mei Lanfang. Classic arias of Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera and Yueju Opera entertain both domestic and overseas audiences. The program for tonight is Peking Opera Princess Wen Cheng, a historical play based on the marriage between a Tang Dynasty (618-907) princess and a Tibetan King.
