Britain beats France to win cycling team sprint gold

BEIJING--Britain beat France in the final to win the cycling track team sprint team gold medal at the Olympic Games here on Friday.

Britain clocked lap 2-3 in 43.128 seconds against France's 43.651.

Germany clocked 44.014 to beat Australia, which timed 44.022, for the bronze medal.
