Performances

Korean dance

The South Korean DIDIM Dance Troupe presents modern dance, expressing communication between people and heaven.

Song and dance

Yi ethnic performers from Yunnan province put on a singing and dancing show. Colorful costumes and local customs add vitality to the show.

Exhibitions

Treasure island

A collection of 36 cultural relics from a salvaged Song Dynasty (960-1279) merchant vessel are on display at the Duanmen Rostrum.The objects are both practical and exotic in nature.

Safety secured

With photographs, models, video programs, the exhibition, entitled Safe and Secure Beijing, Safe and Secure Olympic Games, displays the achievements of Beijing police. Four other permanent shows focus on the history of Beijing's police, equipment and facilities.

Form and figure

The sculptural installation Rent Collection was finished in 18 months but it took Li Zhanyang almost 10 years to develop. Li's creation includes 34 life-sized human figures made of glassed steel.

'On the scene'

Ma Jiawei, a Chinese artist who made waves at an early age with his oil and mixed media works, has gathered a collection of recent works for a solo show entitled On the Scene at the Chinablue Art Gallery.
