Wang Zhizhi, center of the Chinese men's basketball team

It is a real pity. We had a good chance to win but were unable to take it.

However, we did try our best. The team's performance against Spain is an indication of our improvement.

We’ll also play hard in the next match with Angola.

I think you, our fans, can see our efforts. Thanks for your great support.

What a pity!

We were so close to being amazing but lost the game at the last. But the game is over. It's no use thinking too much about it. The game was cruel and we must face the result.

We have learned a lot from it, which will help when we play similar games in the future. And we did our best. Now we will move on and play well in the next games.

"Big Yao" (Yao Ming) did his best. He had not fully recovered from his foot surgery, so it was a big challenge for him to play on the court for such a long time.

Liu Wei, point guard of the Chinese men's basketball team

It is such a pity.

We fought hard but we were exhausted in the final quarter and in overtime. However, we had a 14-point lead in the game at one time, which is not easy in an Olympic competition.

We still have the chance to win the next games against Angola, Greece and Germany.

The scratch on my face is ok, but it really hurts.

No matter what happens, we’ll fight to the last! Go, go, go!
