We win-at last!
After eight years wait and four years of hardship, today we made it and were back on the podium at last!
The competition went smoothly, with all of our team members having the same goal and making a great effort. It was unity that has helped us to beat the opponents.
I was so excited about winning this long-expected gold medal that I couldn't help crying when we won. It’s been a difficult time after we failed in the Athens Olympics four years ago. Today, when we had this Olympic gold medal in our hands, excitement, joy and painstaking feeling all burst out at the moment. But what we shed were happy tears.
This gold medal belongs to many people, including our hardworking coaches, teammates who have shared the hardship and showed support to each other, all the members of national gymnastic team and you, our supporters. It’s you who made our dream come true on the home soil.
We had a happy ending today. But, now I must continue my effort to achieve a good performance in the parallel bars competition. It’s also important for me. Please support me!
