How to get there
Your Olympic ticket includes free transport on the day of your event on Olympic dedicated bus routes, the subway, city rail and public buses. Please note that Olympic tickets do not include free transport on shuttle buses between the airport and the city proper, taxis and the airport rail line.
Throughout the 2008 Olympic Games there will be 34 dedicated bus routes serving all competition venues in Beijing. Other city buses will be in service from 6 am to 10 pm every day from July 20 to Sep 20. Bus lines marked with a "K" are fast lines. They will be available three hours before and 90 minutes after each event. For detailed information on routes and stops please refer to the "Map of Olympic Sites and Transport Routes."
The subway and city rail are the fastest way to get to the Olympic venues. Subway Line 8 runs directly to the Olympic Green. Disembark at the stations marked "Olympic Sports Center" or "Olympic Green" and continue through security for a direct entrance to the Olympic Green.
All the Olympic venues can also be reached by city bus. For detailed transportation information, refer to the section "How to Get There." Be aware that city bus lines and their schedules may be adjusted during the Games. We recommend you double check ahead of time. Also, all venues have designated areas to park bicycles. Riders must leave their bicycles in those areas.
Remember that there will be traffic restrictions around the venues throughout the Games. Vehicles without a specific access permit will not be allowed to enter most venues. Only the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park and the Triathlon Venue have spectator parking. So, you are encouraged to use public transport, not private cars, as much as possible.
