First Olympic delegation arrives in Beijing

BEIJING -- The Polish Olympic delegation, the first of delegations to the Beijing Olympic Games, arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport Sunday, marking the beginning of mass Olympic arrival which China is poised to welcome in the coming days.

The 42 Polish delegates were the first batch of Poland's 268-strong delegation to Beijing, reportedly the country's largest delegation to any Olympics. The other members of the delegation will fly in on two planes days later, sources close to the delegation said.
