MEXICO CITY -- Mexico City's Tourist Minister Alejandro Rojas Diaz-Duran said on Tuesday that the buildings sceneries of the 29th Olympic Games of Beijing are "innovative and of vanguard".

Rojas spent two weeks in China and made a tour by the "Bird's Nest" stadium, where it will be the venue of the opening and closing ceremonies, also the soccer matches and the athletics competitions.

He also visited the Aquatic National Center, building that will host the swimming and synchronized swimming tournaments.

Rojas told Xinhua that he was amazed for the architecture and creativity.

The Minister was one of the passengers of the inaugural flight of Aeromexico airline that unites Mexico with Shanghai, the main business center of China.

Rojas said that not only the Olympic buildings amaze, but also the cities of Shanghai and Beijing are worth to admire for its modern buildings.

"Olympic Games will be a great window to show all the world they are a world power. Personally I was amazed for the development that its cities have achieved," Rojas said.

"Many Mexicans should go to China to learn how they have developed their cities, how they have harmonized the cities and to see their work culture and discipline," Rojas said.

He reckoned it important how China has inserted itself in the world.

"I think it has to be considered for all the decision taken in the world, because they are making contributions to the civilization and the humanity, in an intelligent way," Rojas said.

Shanghai will host the World Expo 2010, and Mexico City will participate on it, Rojas said.

As English language was fundamental for all professionals to open doors, it will happen the same with the Mandarin, Chinese language, Rojas said.

"Therefore, my sons of eight and nine years will start to learn it," Rojas said.

"Without any doubt it is fundamental to consider China as a power and in the future it will be an strategic power in the world and it will be a great opportunity market," Rojas said.
