An International Forum on the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games was held in Beijing Thursday on May 29, with the Paralympics being 100 days away.
Co-organized by the Beijing Organizing committee for the 2008 Olympics and the Humanistic Olympic Studies Center of the RenminUniversity, the forum invited some 20 experts from 13 countries to deliver keynote speeches on the Paralympic development.
Under the theme of “expect and share,” the participants discussed how to make a final touch to the preparatory work of the Paralympic Games in 100 days and create more valuable Paralympic legacy to the country’s 80 million disabled persons.
The paralympian torchbear Jin Jing, who protected the Olympic flame from being attacked in Paris this April, read a poem at the forum.
