Lucky Cloud on Tickets

The organizers also announced the designs for the tickets a week before the 100-day countdown to the opening of the Games.

With the "Lucky Cloud" as the key image, the tickets are designed to be a combination of traditional Chinese culture and the Olympic spirit.

The tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies also drew on the images of the "Bird's Nest" and those for different competitions feature different sport pictograms.

Besides the aesthetic design, the tickets also integrate various anti-counterfeiting technologies, including microfiche text processing and dynamic holographic safety line.

The hi-tech features will shorten the ticket verification process during the Games and will prevent counterfeiting and touting.
