International visitors are going to have lots of opportunity to enjoy Chinese culture next year at the Beijing Olympics.
China's National Acrobatic Troupe, will add its own special touch of Chinese culture to next summer's Beijing Olympic Games. The country's best acrobatic team will perform 70 shows in Beijing between July 4 to August 31.
The troupe will perform its latest work, "Splendid" at the Poly Theatre. The 90-minute acrobatic presentation also features 13 of the troupe's best programs.
Half of those programs have won international awards. "Diabolo" won the French Republic President Award at the 26th Tomorrow Circus Festival in 2005. This is a unique program. The stage combines modern audio and video technology with symbols of ancient Chinese culture.
The displays feature traditional paintings drawn with Chinese ink and ancient poems written in calligraphy.
