A decorative paper-cutting by President Hu Jintao will be included in an exhibition of the traditional art, a local newspaper reported yesterday.

The paper-cutting, entitled "Returning to mother's home", will be on display at a handicrafts exhibition in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, in November, the Wuhan-based Changjiang Times reported.

Cutting red paper into intricate images is a traditional Chinese craft that is still popular in many parts of the countryside.

Hu made this paper-cutting when visiting villagers in Gansu Province in February for the traditional Lunar New Year celebrations.
