Printed "footsteps" on the floor will lead intellectually disabled athletes from their rooms to the hotel dining room. Different dietary needs will be catered for.

Because of Ramadan, some Muslim athletes can only have meals before sunrise or after sunset. The Rendezvous Merry Hotel, however, will provide four meals a day.
To respect their religious belief, the hotel has set up a special kitchen for halal food. Li Fuming said all utensils have been replaced with new ones.
All food products will be supplied by designated quality suppliers. The local food safety watchdog has sent teams to each hotel to ensure food quality.
At Li's hotel, a dining area has been set up on 5th floor for the athletes and their coaches. Waitresses will wear trousers instead of the Qipao, a traditional close-fitting Chinese dress that exposes part of the leg.
Here is a typical dinner menu at Rendezvous Merry Hotel:
Cold dishes:
Salty broad bean
Tomato in syrup
Onion soup
