BOCOG is now working closely with government agencies to ensure the integration of the task with their routine operations.
The meeting also listened to a report on the matters related to the image and look of the 2008 Olympics and Paralympics. The Board stressed that the image and look should embody the concepts of the Olympics and create an enthusiastic, joyful and harmonious atmosphere to ensure high level Olympic Games with distinguishing features and to display the image of the nation successfully. The meeting requested that the master plan of the Olympic and Paralympic image and look should be guided by the concept of scientific development and the principle of frugality, urban-rural harmony and coordinated arrangement between venue and city operations.
The meeting also discussed the plans for the cultural activities in the Olympic Villages and the Olympic Green, where 10 out of the 31 Beijing-based competition venues are located.
