Newly-built medial centre to serve for Olympics

Beijing decides to dedicate a largest ever sized general out-patient medial centre in the Beijing Anzhen Hospital to treating people participated during 2008 Olympic Games, chinanews.com reports.

"The new medical centre in preparation will be a 16-floor building, with architecture area exceeding 58,000 square meters, where domestic and aboard patients will enjoy a good environment, comprehensive services and leading medical techniques", the hospital's president Zhang Zhaoguang introduced at yesterday's press conference, "and it has in particular designed an automatic parking lot with the capacity of 500 berths and one express berth belt for facilitating patients' treatment.

To ensure the patients can enjoy the timely and regular treatment, the patient-oriented medical centre, also the 2008 Olympic Games designated medical organization, will provide medical services and training on including the infection prevention, disinfection, foods and water safety, and biochemistry terror emergency.

And a group of medication experts of the hospital is more likely to take part in the Games doping examinations works, according to Zhang.

Anzhen Hospital has always kept ahead on the national cardiovascular disease's research and treatment since it was built in 1984 by Chinese well-know cardiologist Wu Yingkai.
